Which West Michigan cities have their own senior care pages?
29 cities and communities across Kent, Ottawa, Allegan, Montcalm and Ionia counties have a page, each listing every LARA-licensed home and certified nursing home with that mailing address.

Why doesn't every town have its own page?
A town gets a page only when the state and federal records give us enough to say something specific -- several licensed homes, a nursing home, inspection history. Smaller towns are covered on their county page instead.
Every licensed home in the five counties, including those in the smallest towns, is in the directory.
How should families use the Grand Rapids neighborhood pages?
Grand Rapids is large enough that ZIP code matters: the southeast side has most of the small adult foster care homes, while the hospitals cluster downtown. The five area pages split the city's licensed homes by ZIP.

What does each city page show?
Every LARA-licensed home with that mailing address, the certified nursing homes, recent special investigation findings, PACE and MI Choice coverage, and the home health agencies and hospices that serve the area.
City pages with enough homes link to detailed assisted living, memory care, adult foster care and nursing home pages.
Are city boundaries the same as mailing addresses?
Not always. Our city pages group homes by the mailing city in LARA's file, which can cross township and county lines -- Grandville and Lowell addresses, for example, include homes licensed in neighboring counties.
Where that happens, the city page says so and the county is shown for each home.
